Our method

Six things we do differently from a typical language school.

Home / How we teach
01

The diagnostic, not a test

New students sit a 45-minute diagnostic with a senior tutor. There is no pass or fail. We listen for the gaps the CEFR levels do not show — the missing connectors, the buried tenses, the hidden anxieties — and design your plan around them.

02

Plans, not packages

You receive a written 12-week roadmap with weekly goals, recommended reading and a target outcome. You can drop a module, swap one for another, or move to private classes — the plan stays a plan, not a contract.

03

Six-person classes

Every group is firmly capped at six. We have turned away thousands in revenue to keep this rule. With six students each person speaks for ten to twelve minutes per lesson. With twelve, it drops to four.

04

One-to-one when it matters

For executives, doctors, lawyers and anyone preparing for a specific event — a TEDx talk, a thesis defence, a senior interview — we offer private online sessions with a senior tutor.

05

Exam prep by examiners

Our IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge tracks are taught by tutors who have actually marked the real exams. We know what the rubric rewards and what it ignores. No wasted hours on the wrong things.

06

Plain-spoken reports

Every four weeks you receive a one-page written evaluation. What improved. What is still weak. What we are doing next. No jargon, no padding, no false optimism.

For professionals

Business English, taught for the way you actually work.

Working at a company that runs in English is its own challenge. Meetings move fast, written communication is unusually direct, and there is no time to "warm up" to a conversation. We teach the specific skills you need: opening a meeting, disagreeing politely, asking for clarification without losing face, writing emails that get answered.

Our business clients have included teams from technology firms, consultancies, healthcare organisations and a dozen early-stage startups. Every programme is built from scratch around the team's actual workload.
